In a sea of electronic music, it’s sometimes hard to distinguish the good tunes from bad. Over the last months, I have sifted through hundreds of jungle and drum & bass singles and dubplates – and for the many people who have been waiting and asking: I have finally completed the latest installment of the Killa Podcast. This studio mix features the best of both worlds with what I am hoping is enough soul and drive to reach your heart.
This edition features original photography by Sacha Leclair. Also known as DJ Kid SL, Sacha was one of the first promoters in Ottawa that I passed my demo mixtape to at our local record shop before I actually started playing out. A skilled turntablist and graphic designer, he has also been known to have hosted and rocked some of the most historic parties my hometown has ever seen.
